About the Marcus Garvey People Foundation
Marcus Garvey People Foundation, The Gambia is a charitable and non-profit organisation formed in January 2009.
The organisation is setup in the Gambia to support and achieve the goals of Marcus Garvey for Youths, Women and Africans to sustain and to regenerate Africa.
It strives towards the goals of Marcus Garvey to undertake a diverse and creative range of educational activities. Our mission is to promote renewable energies, social environment projects and to promote community development, we have a strong administration and structure that enables us to network locally and internationally.
MISSION STATEMENT:
MGPF holistic approach is of individual empowerment for success. We provide initiatives that lead to a sense of responsibility, leadership and a community spirit for humanity, development and success. With these activities in place, we can use globally minded leadership skills and team work to promote cultural and social-economic development of The Gambia.
OUR PROJECTS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH SKILL TRAINING WORKSHOPS:
Management, Computer literacy program, Self Sustainability/Capacity Building program.
Solar Installation, Eco Building, Farming, Health Care Training and Sport Activities, Arts and Crafts
Ongoing projects:
Solar Training Workshops and community farming.
